Light Touch Materials in the Lab

The Light.Touch.Matters project brings together materials researchers and designers from around Europe to combine organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with piezoelectric polymers, creating products that respond to touch with light in new and exciting ways. Get a sneak peek into the making of piezo plastics and OLEDs with these films by the wonderful R&A Collaborations. In combination these flexible materials respond to deformation by producing an electrical charge that can be harnessed to produce light. The films explains how sensing 'light touch' materials are made and how their development is being influenced in collaboration with design SMEs.
