Liza is a textiles artist and convenor of crafting communities around thinking and making.Having studied Material Futures at CSM and Indigo dyeing in Japan, Liza is interested in sustainable materials and regenerative textiles. In 2020 she set up an Indigo dye garden in North London to bring the local community together to grow and create wild textiles using homegrown dye plants.
Alongside her practice, Liza is a passionate cultural producer with a deep interest in the intersection between Arts, Science, Craft and Design. Rooted in the makerspace scene, she conceived Makerversity’s inaugural public programme; bringing makers and the public together to collectively re-imagine global challenges whilst showcasing design as a tool for change. Building on her love of creative education and exploration, Liza also worked at the V&A Academy as Senior Producer for Creative Learning from 2019-2024.
