We are hiring a Receptionist in Stratford!

Hands in gloves pewter casting.

We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude, a welcoming manner and an enthusiasm for our work and ethos. Sound like you?

About the job

The Receptionist role is a new, in-person post within the Institute of Making team, based in Stratford.

The post-holder will be the first point of contact for visitors at the Institute of Making Stratford; welcoming members to the Institute in a friendly manner, helping with member and public enquiries and keeping our members safe by ensuring that only those authorised access our Workshops and Materials Library.

Our Receptionist will provide key information about all of our many activities, be it in our Workshops, at our events or within the Materials Library. They'll also help members access accessing their online accounts, allowing them to book activities and equipment.

Additionally, the post-holder may occasionally assist other teams; supporting the Events team with a public event or helping the Office Manager to organise team away days.

During periods when the Institute of Making is closed to members, the Receptionist may undertake special project work, helping the post-holder to develop a broad understanding of our work and ethos.
