We're hiring Workshop Support Technicians

Fancy joining the growing team at the Institute of Making?

We’re on the lookout for friendly, open-minded, multidisciplinary Workshop Support Technicians with a passion for making and excellent technical, organisational and communication skills. Does this sound like you?

Note:
While we value generalists, we know many have specialisms. Right now, we’re particularly interested in those skilled in electronics, woodwork or metalwork.

About the job

As a Workshop Support Technician, you’ll be at the heart of the Institute of Making’s vibrant community. You’ll help our members confidently explore and create, while maintaining and organising our diverse workshop spaces.

We’re seeking people who are approachable and eager to guide users of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned experts, and who can work across multiple making disciplines while striving to learn new techniques. Our Workshop Support Technicians will lead training sessions, maintain equipment, and ensure the workshops are safe and welcoming spaces for all.

This is a permanent, full-time role, which will work on-site across our Bloomsbury and Stratford locations.
