Public Masterclass: Concrete with Leigh Cameron

Public Events

Come along to explore the materiality of concrete with Leigh Cameron who has dedicated his life's work to this material. The masterclass will include casting, playing with materials and looking at different processes and formulations.

Leigh’s work explores concrete, an age-old material - with new techniques to develop and explore its 2000 year history. He aims to develop a new context and aesthetic dialogue, considering concrete's materiality; investigating its diversity, structural properties, its weight, adaptability and material content, exploring its texture, colour, form relationship to other materials.

This masterclass is part of London Craft Week. From 3rd to7th May in its second year, London Craft Week showcases exceptional craftsmanship from around the world through a journey-of-discovery programme of over 130 events across the city, featuring hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands.
