Festival of Stuff: Afternoon - 3D Print Finishing Masterclass
Festival of Stuff Public Events
*** Ticket bookings go live on Tuesday 29 May at 8pm. Due to the popularity of the workshops we can only allow two Festival of Stuff workshop bookings per person. ***
Join jeweller and 3D Print expert Hannah Cameron to learn how to finish PLA prints in the Makespace or at home with various techniques for sanding, priming, painting and glossing. You will also receive an introduction to SLS printing, places from where to order these and best practice for dyeing - as well as being given some SLS samples to practice on and take home. Hannah will provide 3D Prints for each person to work on, but feel free to bring some of your own 3D Prints to learn how different designs will affect your post processing.
Hannah Cameron trained as a landscape architect before becoming a 3D printing fanatic. Officially trained to Gold Award with Ultimaker and 3DGBIRE, she has given talks across London and at science festivals about 3D printing and is now an engineer for Eagle Labs, helping develop rapid prototypes for startup companies and hobbyists. She has been working with Eagle Labs for several years; for her own practice she makes jewellery and is constantly refining her own processing techniques.
This workshop is part of the Festival of Stuff.
