Festival of Stuff: Afternoon - Circuitry & Headlight Building Masterclass
Festival of Stuff Public Events
*** Ticket bookings go live on Tuesday 28 May at 8pm. Due to the popularity of the workshops we can only allow two Festival of Stuff workshop bookings per person. ***
Dead batteries are not as dead as they seem. With a little voltage booster circuit, we can turn them back into something useful, and build a small, punk, super-bright headlight that will squeeze the last juice out of all the dead cells you have lying around at home. Learn to solder and prototype circuitboards, and finally assemble your design into a unique hacked piece of headgear.
A physics student, Jakub Zalesak come from a family of makers and currently run workshops for the UCL division of Engineers Without Borders. He became enchanted by electronics while repairing a set of headphones at 13 years of age and has carried a love for electronics with him ever since. Jakub loves breaking complex things down and assembling them differently, and believes that hardware shoud be open-source.
This workshop is part of the Festival of Stuff.
