Festival of Stuff: Afternoon Session - Spoon Carving Masterclass

Festival of Stuff

Barn Carder (aka Barn the Spoon): after becoming a furniture maker's apprentice he spent three years travelling and sleeping in woods, searching for wood to carve spoons. He runs one of London’s few spoon carving shops based on Hackney Road, where he sits in the window whittling and chipping away at wood whilst passers-by drop in. Barn uses simple tools such as axes and knives to create beautiful functional spoons.

Join Barn where he will be teaching basic knife carving techniques in a spatula-carving masterclass where you will be able to create your own spatula.

This masterclass is suitable for age 18+.
