Festival of Stuff: Morning - Jesmonite Masterclass

Festival of Stuff Public Events

*** Ticket bookings go live on Tuesday 29 May at 8pm. Due to the popularity of the workshops we can only allow two Festival of Stuff workshop bookings per person. ***

Learn to make beautiful Jesmonite tiles which incorporate reclaimed materials. You will learn the basics of the casting and moulding processes, integrate reclaimed or natural elements, and finally sand the tiles back to expose the beautiful textures within. You will come away with two tiles or coasters with unique surface designs.

Stephanie Tudor is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bristol producing sculptural installations and bespoke furniture on commission. Her practice is materials and process led and focused on the exploration of tactility and surface quality. Interested in the emotional response tactile materials can evoke, and the relationship that occurs between object and audience, her work seeks to strengthen connections through touch.

This workshop is part of the Festival of Stuff.
