Have you ever wanted to know how early man and prehistoric people made the stone tools they needed for survival? The art of flint knapping is a skill that has been forgotten since the end of the Bronze Age. Members can come and learn to make arrowheads, spearheads, hand-axes and scrapers from brittle flint with master flintknapper, primitive technologist and archaeologist Karl Lee. Karl has over 20 years experience of teaching the manufacture and use of stone (lithic), bone and wooden tools, plus he lives in the woods!
