Member Masterclass: Fabric Colour adding and subtracting Masterclass

Join print designer Faye McNulty to explore fibre and experiment with hand dyeing and screen-printing processes to add or take away colour. Learn how cotton take colour differently to silk. Discover the importance of creating the right conditions for different fabrics to achieve colourful and durable results.

During this masertcalss, participants will create a series of dyed fabric swatches, some of which will be developed further with screen-printing processes that remove or change the dyed colour.

Faye McNulty is a specialist in textile print and design, consulting and designing for international artists and fashion designers. She develops experimental textiles using traditional techniques and has worked with innovative research centres, such as London Printworks Trust and Textile Futures Research Centre. Faye’s clients include Topshop, Victoria Beckham, Yinka Shonibare, Alexander McQueen and Kenzo.
