Enter ballot here by 16th March
The process of 'rammed earth' uses soil mixtures and compression to create visually striking and locally-sourced building materials. Join us for a session filled with mixing, hammering and pounding, while you consider what makes for sustainable building practices. Participants will gain an understanding of both the structural integrity and aesthetic potential of the technique, and explore practical applications in design and construction.
Studio Raw Origins is run by Angela Ford, a multidisciplinary designer and educator. Her research-led practice is rooted in investigating both the practical lineages and ancestry of sustainable materials and natural fibres.
