Try your hand at pattern cutting inspired by reconstructive plastic surgery techniques. This masterclass will be exploring points of commonality and contrast between plastic surgery and pattern cutting for fashion, and will draw on those practices to design and create new garments.
sKINship is a research program and professional network bridging the gap between visual arts and science based practitioners: creating a space in which to exchange knowledge and ideas and explore the processes of 'Making' as a universal visual language.
Specialist pattern cutter and knitwear designer Juliana Sissons and director Rhian Solomon will be sharing their techniques in this unique masterclass.
