Repair Cafe: If it’s broke, don’t fix it! (arts and heritage repair)
Member Events Public EventsArtists from the Slade School of Fine Art, and heritage conservators from the Institute of Archaeology, will provide alternative solutions to fixing your broken things. Come along for inspiration to create new objects from things that are broken, not just mending but making art and heritage objects.
No experience or skill necessary, all welcome!
Bring along a broken thing for consultation, damaged objects in need of recreation will be available for you to practice.
Repair Cafe at Institute of Making, 17th February from 10am-4pm
Besides the above activity, we are hosting a range of drop-in repair activities for the UCL community. You can also drop into:
- Plant care & repair
- Textiles & Clothing repair
- Maintainsplaining (fixing your home)
- Office furniture repair (advance booking required)
- Electronics Repair (advance booking required)
