Technician Online Consultations

Get expert help with any making project, including robotics, CAD, woodwork, ceramics, photography, glass and more: our terrific technicians are here to advise and discuss your research prototypes, personal projects, and repair and DIY processes. 

You will start by filling out a form for a quick assessment of your needs, so we can understand your project and how our team can best help you.
Following this, you will be allocated an Institute of Making technician who will work with you to answer questions, give guidance and advise you how to physically produce your project. If you have a special need to discuss your project with our Materials Librarian as well as a technician during the consultation, please add this into your form including the reason. Please note: We are currently unable to offer any making services due to Covid restrictions.

Consultations will take place during the week starting Monday 12 July.
Note! you will only confirm a consultation date once you have been in contact with a technician! 

Our team's capacity for these sessions is limited; if fully booked you will have to wait until we publish sessions in future.
