Glass Ceramic Marigold Glove Mould

Material ID: 164

Description

An original mould used by the Marigold factory to make rubber washing-up gloves. The mould is dipped in the rubber latex solution and undergoes a series of heat treatments and washing processes, which are usually automated within the factory. The hashed and indented lines on the mould create the grip on the final glove. The result is a rubber glove, ready to be used as soon as it is peeled from the mould. The size is indicated on the side, and in this case is a woman’s 7 ½.
