Damage
One of the philosophies of the Materials Library is not to conserve or preserve the materials in our collection, but instead to observe how they patinate, craze, degrade, creep, fatigue and deform over time, in response to the stresses of their environment and the strains of the uses they are put to. This selection celebrates the tarnished, nibbled, broken and otherwise damaged materials in our collection.
