Key information
Yellow tools require further training. Training will be available either in the form of a bookable tool training session, or by dropping into the space and making an arrangement with a technician.
Domino joiners are woodworking power tools that cut a full mortise into the edges of wooden pieces. The mortises they cut are designed to fit a loose tenon (a dowel with an oval-shaped cross section) in order to join two sections of wood together. They are similar to biscuit joiners but have a cutter that moves sideways in addition to rotating.
What can I use this tool for?
Domino joiners are excellent at joining panels of wood together permanently and quickly. They are useful for projects with lots of joins that will not be seen. The flat tenons that they use resist torque and help with longevity.
